Can You Make Them Us?

Can You Make Them Us?

It’s an ill wind that blows nobody good

So what’s the good in you Katrina?

Is it the mirror you hold up

Showing us our poor

Showing us our hate

Showing us ourselves?

What’s the good in you, Katrina?

What’s the good in us?

Strong winds can move oceans

Can move cities

Can move countries

Can they move us, Katrina?

Can you make us see ourselves

In the children

In the weak

In the poor?

Can you make them us?

‘Cause if you can

Katrina

You’ll come sweet to our lips

When the winds blow.
