My friend and I recently visited New Orleans and met some of your volunteers with Ray Thomas. We were really happy to see that volunteers were still here rebuilding New Orleans. My friend was visiting from Virginia. I live on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and the rebuilding is slow here, especially near the beach. The volunteer groups that have arrived to help both our communities demonstrate that disaster can bring out the best in mankind. As the memory of Hurricane Katrina fade from the news for the rest of the nation, those who live here must face the devastation and the memories of what we lost every day. So, I am even more grateful that your team of volunteers remain and help our communities rebuild back to their previous splendor. Enjoy the Southern hospitality!
